Candour Nutrition is a sole trader nutrition practice operated by Karen Houston, registered with the Association for Nutrition (ANutr). This notice explains how I collect and use your personal data when you visit www.candournutrition.com or contact me through this site.

Who is responsible for your data?

Karen Houston, trading as Candour Nutrition, is the data controller. You can contact me at karen@candournutrition.com

What data I collect and why

Contact form. When you submit the contact form, I collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. I use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, if relevant, to provide information about my services. The legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interests.

Website analytics. This site is hosted on Squarespace, which collects anonymised data about how visitors use the site (such as pages visited and approximate location). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. For details, see Squarespace's privacy policy.

How long I keep your data

I retain contact form enquiries for as long as is necessary to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. If you do not become a client, I will delete your details within 12 months of your enquiry.

Who I share your data with

I do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data passes through and is stored within Squarespace's infrastructure, and contact form submissions are received and stored in Google Workspace (Gmail), operated by Google. Both Squarespace and Google act as data processors on my behalf and are bound by their own data processing agreements. I may be required to disclose data if legally obliged to do so.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please contact me at karen@candournutrition.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
